During the turn of the century, in the year 2000, Rangla Punjab Radio program was started
to cater to the Punjabi community which had grown immensely over the years in the
Dallas/Fortwoth Metro area.
During the initial years of its inception, the program was broadcasted on several small AM
radio stations; including 910AM, 1150AM, 1600AM, 1540AM and 700AM. And finally we
took a gigantic leap when we affiliated ourself with 104.9 FM.
The radio program received a tremendous welcome from the local, state, national as well as
global audience and everyone appreciated our efforts to promote Punjabi cultural via this
media. Our program covers the wide variety of entertainment spectrum that encompasses all
generations of Punjabi taste -- latest hits to the golden hits as well as folk music and news
from our country and state.
Rangla Punjab Radio Show being the voice of Punjabis in the Dallas Metroplex area has
helped promote many local events as well have organised many cultural programs
sponsoring famous Punjabi singers. The main mission of this organization is to promote
Punjabi cultural locally as well as globally and that is the reason we blend local talent with
professional Punjabi performers during our events.
The efforts to promote our cultural and to pass the torch to the new generation fueled with
our history, religion, values, and respect will make our future posterities a great human
being as well as successful individuals.
