In the year 2000 together with the turn of the new century Rangala Punjab radio was created to cater to the immense Punjabi population in the Dallas Fort Worth area.

The Journey started with several AM stations 910AM, 1150AM, 1600AM 1540AM and 700AM, finally bringing it to the present with 104.9 FM.

Since its beginning it has become very popular with all the Punjabi's from all around the world. Helping to Promote friendship with all Punjabi's Rangla Punjab Radio covers a wide selection of Punjabi music; from the latest new age hits, to folk songs from the land of Punjab giving many listeners a great choice of music. Becoming the voice of the Punjabi people it has helped promote local events and offers itself has a community service, frequently Interviewing Punjabi singers, and also encouraging and giving opportunities to the new talent in the area.

Rangla Punjab's aim always being to keep memories and the mother tongue alive, for the old and young; the older generation who have left Punjab many years ago and the young generation in making them proud of their cultural, language, and overall heritage.
